Langside Community Heritage is dedicated to the exploration of the historical and archaeological past of the southside of Glasgow.
Membership is open to all and is free.
LCH offers a range of events each year, including winter evening presentations, day activities and visits to sites; and events with a connection to the southside of Glasgow.

Convenor: Iain Ross Wallace Cert HE MA MRes FSAScot
Iain is an archaeologist whose primary interests are the Roman presence in Scotland and early medieval buildings. He is keen to encourage people to learn about the history and heritage of the south side of Glasgow and is a regular public speaker on a range of subjects including Auld Langsyd, the early villages on the south side of Glasgow; Roman Scotland; Stonemasons’ marks and, of course, The Battle of Langside.
Secretary: Dr Alan Leslie MA PhD
Alan is an archaeologist with extensive experience, having taught at the University of Glasgow and undertaken research with GUARD Archaeology, amongst other organisations.
Treasurer: Alan Mauchan
Alan is a retired business owner who lives locally and has a life long interest in the history and heritage of the area.

Emily, Hannah and Ray are currently students at the University of Glasgow and are learning about the organisation and management of community heritage groups, as part of our programme of encouraging student participation in community organisations.
