Hampden – birthplace of modern football

The story of three Hampden Parks

Starting at 6.00pm a walking tour looking at the original Hampden Park (which became Hampden Bowling Club), guided by Keith McAllister – lifelong fan and official representative of Queens Park Football Club.
The walk will start from Kingsley Gardens, and then short distance to Cathkin Park (the second Hampden); uphill to Hampden Terrace – where everything was named after!   After that, we’ll walk past the National Stadium and Queens Park’s new facilities and on to the Clockwork Pub to arrive at approximately 7.30pm.
Keith will host a question and answer session there.
Admission via Eventbrite to join the walk and/or come along to the Q&A is free but donations to help cover expenses are very welcome.
Everyone is welcome although some of the walking route (in Cathkin Park) can be a bit rough and muddy underfoot.   The Clockwork event can be attended separately and will start after 7.30pm   Licensed bar available.
